Puplo — A Drawing Companion
Once upon a time, you made drawings simply because it was fun to do so.
A wobble made you smile.
A mistake became a surprise.
Then drawing started to feel serious.
Measured.
Judged.
And somewhere along the way, the joy quietly slipped away.
Puplo is here to help bring it back.
I am Puplo: an artist who believes drawing should feel friendly, curious, and a little bit silly. I like crooked lines, unexpected shapes, and marks that don’t quite behave.
I am part of The Artist Companions, created by Rob Pepper — a family that believes drawing is not about talent, but about giving yourself permission to begin.
What this sketchbook is for
This sketchbook is not about getting things right.
It is about seeing what happens when you let go.
A line that wanders.
A shape that changes its mind.
As you draw, ideas loosen.
As you play, confidence quietly returns.
You are not proving anything — you are simply enjoying the act of making.
How Puplo works
Over time, Puplo invites you to draw with curiosity rather than control.
To follow what feels interesting.
To trust that something will appear if you stay with it.
Some drawings will make you laugh.
Some may surprise you.
Some will go nowhere at all.
All of them are welcome.
There is no plan to follow.
There is no pressure to finish.
Bring a pen.
Or a pencil.
Turn the page and see what happens.
A playful beginning
Art does not need permission.
It needs curiosity.
And sometimes, it needs a slightly crooked line to begin.
